45 minutes. Your number, your gaps, a straight answer.
The Sounding
-
The Sounding is how we decide who to work with. We open a few engagements a quarter, and I would rather spend 45 minutes finding out whether we fit than a year finding out we do not. You get the read either way.
Engagements after the Sounding are scoped in 90-day blocks, and you will know the cost of the first block before you commit. -
A working conversation. You describe the business, where you want it to be in three to five years, and what is in the way. We read it for strategic clarity, operating discipline, and transferable value, and tell you what I see.
-
Not a sales call. Not a valuation. You will not get a certified range of value in 45 minutes.
You will get a clear view of which of your three gaps is likely largest, which service fits first, and whether KedgePoint is the right practice for the job. If it is not, we will say so and point you somewhere better.
-
Rough revenue and profit for the last two years. Your role in the business today, in hours and in decisions. The outcome you want: sell, step back, double, hand off. Precision is not required. Candor is.
Everything you share stays between us. A mutual NDA is available before the call if you want one.
-
Within two business days you get a one-page written read: what we heard, where the leverage is, and a proposed scope if there is one.
No proposal unless you ask.
-
Yes. Closing the profit gap pays you now, in distributions, whether you sell or not. A business worth selling is a business worth owning.
A sounding is how a ship measured depth before instruments: drop a weighted line, read how much ran out before it hit bottom. Sailors took soundings when they couldn't see, to learn where they actually were instead of where the chart said they should be.
That is what this first conversation is. We measure where your business and your goals actually stand, then decide together whether there is a next step worth taking. Either way, you leave knowing more than you did.
